Players should expect these benefits with the Rapids:

    1) Playing time guarantee of 30 %. The Coaches run their teams with various styles within the frame work of the Club's Goals. The State/Local teams often share time more evenly. The National type teams often have small differences between top and bottom, also resulting in even time sharing.  The final say belongs to the coach who weights a variety of factors including performance, attendance, attitude and health.

    2) Promotion on our website. The players on teams attending a major tournament will have an individual web page on our site to aid in the recruiting process. Information should be presented in Word or FrontPage format, by email to the Club Director.

    3) Promotion in print for handouts. The players on teams attending a major tournament will be included in a team handout containing a brief player description, often with an individual photo, the team's schedule and directions to our website for the more detailed individual pages.

    4) Benefit from the Vast Experience of our Coaches. The club founder, Mike Del Valle, has many years of successful HS and AAU experience. Several of our other coaches and volunteers have had recruiting experience, (sometimes frequently), HS coaching experience, and/or played in college. Mike will help players from any Rapids team, and is a tremendous resource for all our coaches and parents.

    5) Opportunities to Fund Raise. The Rapids host a tournament on the last weekend in June at Canisius College. The "RUMBLE" profits help to defray the Club extras, such as warmups and scholarships. Additional monies have been earned thru advertising sales in our program. This has resulted in rebates up to $500. Each year the parents can decide on additional fundraisers. We have run lotteries and car washes in past years.

    6) Benefit from the Rapids' Reputation.  College Coaches in the northeast expect Niagara Rapids top teams to have good prospects on them. This is the result of several years of fielding teams the scouts want to watch. The recruiters know the girls will be well coached and performing the types of skills they need to see.

    7) Benefit from this Opportunity in proportion to your Commitment.  It will take a tremendous amount of dedication and effort to prepare to play college basketball. There has to be a lot of practice away from our team time, just as if you wanted musical excellence or for that matter any kind of excellence. The Rapids have a long list of Alumni who played in college. Only those serious about their goals should tryout.
